Faucets made by people who sign their name to them
Founded in 1986 as JL Baril — J for Jacques, L for Louise. Still the same family. Eunoia carries 904 of their fixtures.

Our story
It began with someone who thought faucets were ugly.
Louise Thibeault was working in her parents' hardware store when she noticed that everything on the shelves did its job and none of it was beautiful. In 1986 she and her husband Jacques founded the company and named it after themselves — J for Jacques Baril, L for Louise Thibeault.
Forty years on it is still the same family. Marie-Eve and Jean-Sebastien Baril took the helm in 2009. Around eighty people, a plant and head office in Trois-Rivières, and a showroom and design studio on Saint-Laurent Boulevard in Montreal's Mile End.
What that means for you is unglamorous and important: when a cartridge fails in year six, the parts are a province away, not a container away.
Our goal is to help our customers feel a sense of well-being at home. Marie-Eve Baril

The company behind the faucet
The collections
Baril designs in suites, not in pieces.
One look runs from the lavatory faucet through the shower to the towel bar, and every part carries the same series code. Match the number, match the room.

Decided before the wall closes
Pressure-balance, thermostatic, or both.
Baril brought thermostatic valves to North America in 1997, and the shower range has been the deepest part of the catalogue ever since. This choice lives inside the wall, so a trim swap cannot change it later.
Pressure-balance
Holds the hot-and-cold ratio steady when a tap runs elsewhere in the house. Protects against scalding; the temperature can drift a little. Enough for a single shower head.
Thermostatic
Holds an actual set temperature and supplies more than one outlet at a time. The right answer for a rain head plus a handheld.
Thermostatic pressure-balanced
Both in one valve, with the diverter built in — one, two or three way. What Baril uses across the larger shower systems.
Why it lasts
European ceramic cartridges
Crack-resistant, tolerant of extreme temperatures, sealed to stay watertight. The part that decides whether a faucet is still good in ten years.
Lifetime warranty, finish included
Most warranties cover the mechanism and quietly exclude the plating. Baril covers both against manufacturing defect.
Finish chosen component by component
Seventeen finishes in total, and no obligation to use one throughout. The faucet is configured, not just bought.
Low-flow saving 20–30%
Available across the range, and useful if you are chasing LEED credits or working to a local water-efficiency requirement.
Made and shipped from Trois-Rivières
In-stock orders leave the warehouse within 48 hours. Replacement parts come from the same building, years later.
Designed in Montreal
The Mile End studio sits apart from the plant, which is unusual at this scale and is why the range reads as designed rather than engineered.
