The same faucet is offered both ways, and the choice is a facilities decision rather than a design one.

• DC runs on batteries. No electrician, no outlet under the counter, so it is the straightforward retrofit — but battery replacement becomes a scheduled maintenance item across every unit in the building.
• AC is hard-wired to a transformer. More work at install, nothing to replace afterwards. Usually the right answer in new construction, and in any washroom where nobody wants to be changing batteries in twenty faucets.

0.5 GPM is the standard specification and what most projects use. 0.35 GPM cuts consumption further and is worth checking if you are working toward a water-efficiency target or a building certification. Confirm the lower flow against your local code before specifying it — a high-traffic washroom at 0.35 takes noticeably longer per hand-wash, which matters in an airport and does not matter in an office.

Models with a mixer blend hot and cold at the faucet, so the user gets tempered water regardless of what the supply is doing. Models without one deliver whatever arrives at the tap — simpler, fewer parts, and the usual choice where the building already controls washroom water temperature centrally at the heater or a master mixing valve. Decide this before you order: the mixer is built into the faucet, not added later.

• Components — the flexible one. Tube spouts in short, mid and tall, so you can match the reach to the basin and the clearance to a backsplash or mirror.
• Strayt and Composed — squared, architectural profiles that suit a contemporary commercial interior.
• Oblo and Kumin — rounded and compact. Oblo is also offered tall, for basins that sit above the deck.
• Loure — a more traditional profile, for a building that is not going modern.

Some Components models are Cortex-enabled, which lets a facilities team commission and adjust the faucet electronically rather than working through the washroom unit by unit. On a large fit-out, ask us which models carry it.

• Check the deck cutout. These are single-hole deck-mounted. Replacing a three-hole faucet means an escutcheon plate or a new basin.
• Drain. Some models are supplied less drain. Read the product page rather than assuming one is included.
• Accessibility. If the washroom is barrier-free, confirm the model and its installed height against the requirements for your province.
• Consistency. On a multi-washroom job, order the full count at once — finishes and revisions drift between production runs.

Do commercial touchless faucets need power?
Yes — either batteries (DC) or a hard-wired transformer (AC). The same models are generally offered both ways, so the decision is install effort against long-term maintenance.

How long do the batteries last?
Entirely a function of traffic. A washroom used a few hundred times a day drains them far faster than a small office. For high-traffic facilities, AC is usually the less irritating choice.

Can a touchless faucet deliver warm water?
Only the models with a temperature mixer. Without one, the faucet delivers whatever temperature the supply provides.

Will one fit my existing sink?
If the basin has a single centre hole, yes. Three-hole basins need an escutcheon plate to cover the outer holes — send us the basin model and we will confirm.
