Kohler's Kinesis sensor technology is the system across most of this range. Models are offered at 0.35 and 0.5 GPM, with or without a temperature mixer.

• Flow rate. 0.5 GPM is the common specification; 0.35 GPM goes further on water use and is worth checking against your local code and any green building target.
• Temperature mixer, or not. A mixer lets users get tempered water at the faucet. Without one, temperature is set upstream — simpler, and often what a facility wants when it controls supply temperature centrally.
• Power. DC-powered units run on batteries, so no electrician and no outlet under the counter, but batteries are a scheduled maintenance item. Confirm which your facilities team would rather carry.
• Deck or wall, and hole size. Most of this range is single-hole deck-mounted. Check the existing deck cutout before replacing like for like.
• Accessibility. If the washroom is a barrier-free facility, confirm the model and the installed height against the relevant accessibility requirements for your province.

Are touchless faucets battery powered?
The DC-powered models in this range are. That avoids running power to the counter, but batteries become a scheduled maintenance item for the facility.

What flow rate should a commercial washroom faucet be?

Do these faucets mix hot and cold?
