About this collection

Baril Sens B45

Sens is Baril's contemporary suite, and most of what we carry in it is trim — the visible handles, heads and spouts that finish a valve already sitting in the wall. That makes it the natural range for a bathroom refresh where the plumbing stays exactly where it is.

Mostly trim, and why that matters

A trim-only order is the cheapest meaningful change you can make to a shower: new handles, new head, new spout, no tile removed. It works only if the existing valve is a Baril body of the right type, so the first job is identifying what is in the wall.

If you do not know, photograph the existing trim and the cartridge and send it to us — we can usually identify the valve from the escutcheon shape alone, and we will tell you plainly if it is not a Baril.

Complete kits (PRO- and PRR- codes) that include the valve body are available too, for new construction.

The three valve types

Pressure-balance holds the hot/cold ratio steady when a tap runs elsewhere in the house. Enough for a single shower head.

Thermostatic holds an actual set temperature and supplies several outlets at once — the right answer for a rain head plus a handheld.

Thermostatic pressure-balanced combines both in one valve with the diverter built in, in one-, two- and three-way versions. Most of the larger Sens kits use it.

Beyond the shower

Sens also covers wall-mounted lavatory faucets and wall-mounted tub faucets with hand shower, in both complete and trim-only form — so a whole bathroom can be kept in one language. See Wall-Mount Bathroom Faucets and Bathtub Faucets.

Frequently asked questions

What is the difference between a trim and a complete kit?
The trim is everything you can see. The complete kit adds the valve body that goes inside the wall. If the wall is already finished and the valve is sound, you want the trim.

How do I know if my existing valve will take a Sens trim?
Send us a photo of the current trim and, if you can reach it, the cartridge. Trims are matched to specific Baril valve bodies, not to any valve.

What does the B45 code mean?
It is the Sens series code — B45 on faucets, T45 on trims. Matching the number is the reliable way to keep the room consistent.

Is Sens available as a complete shower system?
Yes. The PRO- and PRR- codes are complete kits including the valve; TRO- and TRR- are trim only.
