Collection: Alcove Bathtubs

Alcove bathtubs from Maax, Kohler, Mirolin and Produits Neptune — acrylic tubs built to fit a recessed three-wall opening, with an integrated apron on the exposed side and a tile flange on the three walled sides.

Two measurements decide everything. First the opening: 60" x 30" is the North American standard and what most Canadian bathrooms are framed for, though 66" and 72" models exist. Then the drain hand — standing in front of the tub, is the drain on your left or your right? Left-hand and right-hand are different products, and a wrong-hand tub cannot simply be turned around, because the apron is only on one long side. Several Maax models here are reversible; the listing says so.

The tile flange is what keeps water out of the wall, so it has to sit behind the backer board, not be caulked to the front of it. Free Ontario delivery.
