SILGRANIT is Blanco's patented granite composite — up to 80% natural granite bound with acrylic and pigment. It is the reason many people choose the brand, and the differences from stainless steel are practical rather than cosmetic:

• Quieter. No drumming under a running tap, no ringing when a pan goes in.
• Non-porous. It repels water and liquids, so it resists staining and does not show the water spotting a brushed steel sink shows in a hard-water house.
• Heat tolerant. Rated for boiling water, hot pots straight off the stove and sheet pans out of the oven.
• Colour. Matte tones that steel simply cannot do.

SILGRANIT for quietness, colour and hiding water spots. Stainless for the lightest weight and maximum heat tolerance. Both are durable; it is mostly a question of how the kitchen looks and sounds.

Is SILGRANIT safe for food contact?
Yes. The surface is non-porous and Blanco states it is safe for contact with food.

Do Blanco cutting boards fit any sink?
No — they are sized to specific bowl dimensions. Check the accessory is listed as compatible with your sink model, or buy sink and accessories together.
