Collection: Air Switches

About this collection

Air switches for garburators and waste disposals, from InSinkErator, Rohl, Baril, Delta and Brizo.

An air switch replaces the wall switch. A button sits on the countertop or in a spare sink hole and sends a puff of air down a small tube to a control box under the sink, which starts the disposal. No electricity runs through the button, which is why it is safe beside a wet sink and why most new kitchens are built this way rather than with a switch on the backsplash.

Two things decide which one you need. First, a button-only part replaces a worn or mismatched button on a system you already have; a control box with button is the complete kit for a new installation. Second, the button has to suit the hole — most are sized for a standard sink or counter opening, but check the finish against your faucet rather than against the sink, since that is what it will sit beside.

Everything ships free within Ontario, and any order over $3,000 ships free Canada-wide.
